The course provides an introduction to testing tools and test automation. Use of various tools is becoming more common and automated test execution seems obligatory in the different forms or rapid, incremental and iterative development, due to larger amounts of regression testing. The course gives the knowledge that is necessary to avoid pitfalls of test automation.
Objectives To provide the basic knowledge for independently estimating, planning, executing, monitoring and evaluating test automation and testing tools.
Who should attend? Developers, testers, line managers, project managers and anyone needing to gain structured knowledge about testing tools and test automation.

Previous Knowledge Experience of software development or project management and at least some practical experience of software testing. Theoretical knowledge of test techniques and test methodologies is an advantage.
